The Lethbridge Public Library is proud to join communities across the country in a national celebration of literacy, storytelling, and the literary arts, by bringing The Word On The Street Festival to Lethbridge for the 6th year in a row.
The Word On The Street Festival is growing into a signature event in Southern Alberta, where we present established and emerging authors, storytellers, informative panel discussions, demonstrations and workshops, live music, tons of activities and a bustling marketplace. We strive to create a FREE local festival that represents the diversity of our community, is accessible to all ages, and most importantly is well attended, lively, and fun!
Come out this year to meet and hear from a variety of talented Canadian Authors! There will be a Kids Corner stage, Sponsored by Astro Insurance, filled with a line-up of amazing children’s authors, a Teen Zone stage programmed to cater to young adults with a variety of interests, and the Canadian Heritage stage and Lethbridge Herald stages with authors for adults. And don’t forget to visit our Friends of the LPL Workshop Stage for a variety of literary themed workshops including Song Writing, Poetry, Book Making and Metis Jigging and Storytelling. We can’t wait to see you all there!
