Celebrate Literacy

While literacy is a right for everyone, many struggle throughout life without basic reading, writing, speaking, listening and numeracy skills. This journey does not have to be undertaken alone. There are countless organizations around the city to aid those in and around Lethbridge in their pursuit of a literate life.

Celebrate Literacy

The Word On The Street festival is committed to improving the reading skills and functional literacy of Canadians.

If you are interested in literacy programs for yourself or someone else or wish to help others improve their literacy skills please visit Lethbridge Public Library’s Read On Program. A wide variety of programs, materials and services for children and families, teens, and adults are available.
