***All outdoor and in-person activities for this weekend’s The Word On The Street are cancelled, and children’s storytime will be moved to livestream online. The core of the festival remains online, and we'll be extending the event to include a fall reading series. Stay tuned for updates!***
This year we’ll be online with our lineup again, with festival events starting Tuesday, September 14, leading up to our main events on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18. There will be some additional in-person activities on Saturday, September 18. We’re also excited to share that we’ll be hosting festival events well into September with our Indigenous Oral Tradition and Knowledge Series as well as into the fall with our Fall Reading Series.
All events on Saturday, September 18th will be online or join us to watch the live stream at the Lethbridge Public Library Main Branch, outdoors or with our host in the Community Meeting Room. Please note, capacity will be limited for indoor seating. Join us for outdoor kids’ activities with the Children’s Department, Building Brains Together, and Frontier College, and check out the food trucks and buskers throughout the day!
All program events will be online via Zoom, and online ordering will be available through the festival bookseller, the University of Lethbridge Bookstore. Sign language interpretation will be provided for events on Friday, September 17, and Saturday, September 18.
