TVOkids LIVE! Stage Brings Learning to Life at The Word On The Street

Sing, dance and learn at TVOkids LIVE! Stage on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at The Word On The Street, Canada’s largest book and magazine festival. Families can enjoy a fun-filled day with some of TVOkids’ favourite characters and personalities, including TVOkids’ Pirate Bookaneers, math mystery agents from Odd Squad, popular canines from Paw Patrol, paleontologist-in-training Dino Dana, and Canada’s leading environmentalist, David Suzuki.

“TVOkids helps set children up for early success in school by offering our youngest minds fun and engaging learning opportunities, all based on the Ontario school curriculum,” said Marney Malabar, Director, Kids TV, TVO. “The Word On The Street Festival is a perfect venue to bring to life award-winning, commercial-free TVOkids programming, games and interactive content through live performances that encourage a love of reading and learning.”

The TVOkids LIVE! Stage is located at the Harbourfront Centre’s Concert Stage with engaging performances, readings, and photo opportunities from 11am to 5pm.

11:00 am Move with Mickeey & Polkaroo

Dance along with TVOkids host Mickeey as he teaches Polkaroo some fun dance moves!

11:30 am –12:30 pm Photo Op

Have your photo taken with Skye and Rubble from the hit series, Paw Patrol.

11:30 am TVOkids Pirate Show

Join the TVOkids Pirate Bookaneers as they set sail for an amazing adventure!

12:00 pm Canada Crew

Discover our great country with Bebe, Mo, and Gavin from Canada Crew, as Bebe guesses Mo’s top 5 favourite things about Canada!

12:30 pm Special Guest – David Suzuki

Hear from Canadian scientist David Suzuki as he reads from his new book, “Letters to My Grandchildren.” Plus, David will take your questions at the Q&A that follows!
