Randy Plain Eagle is a multidisciplinary Blackfoot two-spirit artist from Piikani Nation. He is an actor, dancer, writer, speaker, producer and emerging arts leader whose work is grounded in lived experience, culture and Indigenous storytelling.

Randy trained at the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto and in musical theatre with the Charlottetown Young Company at Confederation Centre of the Arts. He toured across Canada with The Dream Catchers and appeared in A Tribe Called Red’s Suplex music video, produced by MuchMusic. His performance experience also includes work with Vanguardia Dance Festival, Trickster Theatre, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and Sage Theatre’s IGNITE! Festival.

Throughout his artistic journey, Randy has worked with influential Indigenous artists and mentors, including Muriel Miguel, Herbie Barnes, Troy Emery Twigg and Alejandro Ronceria. He is currently in his second year of the Arts and Cultural Management program at MacEwan University.

Randy is now focused on writing, producing and performing SUGAR, his one-person interdisciplinary work exploring addiction, survival, recovery and the journey of finding one’s way home.
