We’re less than two weeks away from the opening of Sculpting New Reads, the inaugural installation art program for The Word On The Street Toronto.
Five local artists have been paired with 5 Canadian new releases with the challenge to create new works inspired by the themes of their books.
The exhibition will feature a range of art media – from installation, sculpture, video and projection. Expect to climb up, peer in, and peek through to experience these large-scale projects. In addition, scheduled meet-and-greets with both artists and authors will be facilitated throughout the day. Stop by and say hello!
Check out this sneak peek video for an inside glimpse into our participating artists creative process and studios.
Sculpting New Reads runs for 1-day only at The Word On The Street, September 21st, 11am–6pm, in the Sculpting New Reads Tent at Queen’s Park Circle.
Artists: Bambitchell, Nicholas Crombach, Layne Hinton, Felix Kalmenson and Mark Prier
