This fall, the TVOKids LIVE! Stage returns to The Word On The Street, Canada’s largest book and magazine festival. Taking place on Sunday, September 25, 2016, families can enjoy a day filled with literacy-focused entertainment with some of TVOKids’ favourite characters and personalities. Kids can hang out with Opie, the star of kindergarten series Hi Opie!, solve mysteries with agents from school-aged fan-favourite, Odd Squad, and watch Phil from Science Max do experiments.

 

“We love getting out into the community to share our love of reading with kids and families at The Word On The Street,” said Marney Malabar, Director, Kids TV, TVO. “The TVOKids LIVE! Stage show makes learning fun, creating a positive experience around reading and literacy, and helps kids to develop the key skills that are needed to be successful in school and beyond.”

 

The TVOKids LIVE! Stage is located at the Harbourfront Centre’s Concert Stage. Kids can join Bookaneer Daniel, Bookaneer Melissa, and Bookaneer Kara as they kick-off the TVOKids pirate-themed book club, available this fall on tvokids.com. Children can also enjoy interactive activities, including reading and photo opportunities with TVOKids characters, in the TVOKids Zone.

11:00 am	Pirate Show Join the TVOKids Pirates as they set sail for an amazing reading adventure!
11:30am-12:30 pm	Photo Op Come have your photo taken with Marshall and Chase from the hit series, Paw Patrol. (wristband required)
11:30 am	Hi Opie! Hang out with TVOKids host Daniel and kindergarten superstar Opie from TVOKids’ Hi Opie!
12:00 pm	Now You Know Join Howie and Baboo from Now You Know, as they host a question and answer game show.
12:30 pm	Pirate Show Join the TVOKids Pirates as they set sail for an amazing reading adventure!
2:05 pm	Odd Squad Get in on the fun with the cast of the TVOKids’ hit series, Odd Squad.
2:30-3:30 pm	Autograph Signing Meet cast members from Odd Squad. (wristband required)
2:30 pm	Science Max Check out some Maxxed-Out experiments with Phil from Science Max!
3:00 pm	Pirate Show Join the TVOKids Pirates as they set sail for an amazing reading adventure!
3:30 pm	Special Guests – Abby and Sarah Hang out, sing, and sway with twin sister duo!
4:00 pm	Special Musical Guest – Circle 5 Get ready to groove to some great music!
4:00-5:00pm	Autograph Signing Meet your favourite TVOKids hosts! (wristband required)
4:30 pm	Polkaroo Dance Party – with the Cabbagetown Youth Dancers It’s time to move your body with Polkaroo’s Dance Party!

 

*Wristband will be available on site in the TVOKids Zone.
