The Halifax Military Heritage Preservation Society is a volunteer educational society incorporated under the Societies Act that is committed to promoting public awareness of and appreciation for Halifax’s profuse and diverse military heritage - Promotion: We educate the public about the national historic importance and cultural value of Halifax’s rich military heritage and history. Education: We document the Halifax area’s military heritage including military personalities and organizations that have shaped Halifax from ifs founding to the present. Preservation: We foster and encourage public interest in the preservation of buildings, statues and sites in Halifax and its surrounding area of military and historic significance.
