Another year of The Word On The Street is in the books! We are grateful to everyone who helped make our 29th festival one to remember.
With the support of our donors, staff and volunteers, we presented 200 authors to readers of all ages. We were especially excited to partner with Grownups Read Things They Wrote as Kids and launch WOTS Plus+, a new day of discussion on literature, democracy, and the big issues facing Toronto.
Stay tuned next year for info about our 30th festival, coming September 2019.
The Word On The Street is powered by people who believe in the power of stories. You can support our work by making a year-end donation to The Word On The Street.
The Word On The Street is gearing up to launch our new Book of the Month program in January 2019. The first book will be The Grimoire of Kensington Market by Lauren B. Davis. You can buy the book, here, and follow our Twitter page for updates about this new program.
This fall, we partnered with the popular storytelling podcast Grownups Read Things They Wrote as Kids for a live event featuring 2018 festival presenters. Those live readings are now available as podcast episodes.
