The founders of <em>Joyland<\/em>, authors and writers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joyland.ca\/node\/6\">Emily Schultz<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/brianjosephdavis.com\/\">Brian Joseph Davis<\/a>, created this online literary magazine to establish a new way to publish short fiction<em> <\/em>. In <em>Joyland<\/em>, editors from across North America are asked to select and post short stories written by authors in their respective locales. This gives the site a great span of voices and a unique style.<\/p>\n<p>Some <em>Joyland <\/em>authors include Sheila Heti (<em>How Should a Person Be<\/em>), Sarah Selecky (<em>This Cake is for the Party<\/em>&#8212; Giller nominee) and Zoe Whittall (<em>Bottle Rocket Hearts&#8211;<\/em>Top 10 CBC Reads!&#8211; and <em>Holding Still for as Long as Possible<\/em>).
