Jennifer Alicia (she/her, they/them) is a queer, mixed (Mi’kmaw/Settler) storyteller originally from Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), now residing in Toronto. She is a two-time national poetry slam champion with the Toronto Poetry Slam team and member of Seeds & Stardust: an Indigenous women’s poetry collective. Helaine Becker is an award-winning author who has written over eighty books for children. She has written picture books, non-fiction, chapter books, and poetry. She is a two-time recipient of the Lane Anderson Award and a winner of the Silver Birch Award and the Bank Street College of Education Cook Prize.
Pirate Queen: A Story of Zheng Yi Sao
Mariella Bertelli is a versatile Toronto-based bilingual storyteller (English, Italian). Known for her retelling of literary tales: The Decameron, Orlando Raging Mad and The Tale of Tales, Mariella has a wide repertoire of folk and fairy tales. Her personal stories focus on migration and travel. Her latest passion for the last five years has been directing Ensemble storytelling shows.
Darren Lebeuf grew up on a humble acreage outside of Edmonton, Alberta, where he spent his days drawing, painting and exploring the outdoors. After studying art and design at Grant McEwan University, Darren started his creative career as an exhibit designer at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta.

Joel A. Sutherland is the Silver Birch and Hackmatack Award-winning author of numerous Haunted Canada books and the Red Maple Award Honour Book Summer’s End. His middle-grade fiction series, Haunted, has been praised by Goosebumps author R.L. Stine.

Geraldo Valério was born in Brazil, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Drawing, followed by a Master of Arts at New York University. His work has been published in Canada, the US, Brazil, Portugal, France, the UK and China. He lives in Toronto.
