Priya Ramanujam is a self-employed journalist most passionate about using her writing, interviewing, and editing abilities to share stories and perspectives often under-reported, misrepresented, or missing from “legacy media”. In 2004, while in journalism school, she co-founded Urbanology Magazine, an independent magazine focused on music, arts, culture, fashion, and technology from a “hip-hop generation” point of view, with Adrian McKenzie. Priya contributes regularly to many publications – many alternative, independent or community based – such as LiisBeth, New Canadian Media and The Scarborough Mirror. She strongly believes in the power of mentorship and social entrepreneurship. Connect with her @SincerelyPriya
