It’s a history of the magazine’s women photographers, and the stuff they had to go through to get their photos published. Several of the photographers I knew (Jodi Cobb for example) others, like Ella Maillart, who sailed in the 1924 Olympics and then travelled the world after, I didn’t know. Plus obviously, the photos are brilliant.

About an Inuit woman named Tookoolito who was a translator and guide to explorer Charles Francis Hall in the 1870s. It’s a fascinating story so far, and I’m so excited to be reading about a First Nations woman because we don’t hear enough of their stories.<\/em><\/p>\n
